The Weekly Resist for February 27th, 2017 - No Unilateral Nuking of Anyone, Please

This week I was listening to Dan Carlin's latest Hardcore History podcast on the history of nuclear weapons. My take away was that we need to make it illegal for any President to unilaterally go nuclear, because sweet Jesus, have there been opportunities - and pressures - since 1945 to do so.

We can change this - and with Trump in the White House, we must.

Two Congressmen, Rep. Ted Lieu and Sen. Ed Markey, have proposed legislation that would make it illegal for a president to use a nuclear weapon absent a declaration of war by Congress. Seems like a hell of an idea.

Call Congress and demand they change the law to keep us safe.
